#SHOWBIZ: Syariah Court concludes trial on Datuk Red, Adira Suhaimi's reconciliation claim

RAWANG: The trial involving Datuk Seri Adnan Abu's application to validate an alleged reconciliation declaration with his ex-wife, singer Adira Suhaimi, has concluded at the Gombak Barat Syariah Lower Court in Kuang today. Adira, 35, testified in full alongside her brother, Norazali Suhaimi, who appeared as a witness before Syariah judge A fif Sofiuddin Syeikh Abdul Ghani.

Following the trial's completion, the court instructed the syariah lawyers representing both parties to submit their written arguments on October 19. Adira's lawyer, Roshdan Sujak Rafie, confirmed that all proceedings concerning the validation of the reconciliation declaration between his client and Adnan, also known as Datuk Red, 48, have been finalized.

During a post-trial press conference, Rafie described the proceedings as a standard legal process, emphasizing that all allegations must be heard in court, and the defendant given a chance to respond before the judge issues a decision. Adnan's lawyer, Muhammad Akmal Amzan, expressed gratitude for the smooth proceedings, stating that the trial concluded with Adira providing her testimony alongside her brother as a witness.

The case had been heard in camera, with Adnan's testimony completed on April 23. Adnan and Adira married on December 3, 2015, as his second wife, and their divorce was finalized on April 24, 2024. They have four children.
