Série B round promises fierce battle for the top spots

The 26th round of Brazil’s Série B promises an intense showdown for the top positions. The season has been incredibly close, with multiple clubs vying for the crucial spots. Juventude is currently leading the tournament with an impressive 46 points, followed closely by Vila Nova with 44 points. If they maintain this performance, both teams would secure their promotion to the 2027 Série A. Rounding out the current leaders are Criciúma, Novorizontino, Fortaleza, and CRB, all with 44 points as well.

These four teams occupy the positions that would qualify them for playoffs, determining the final two promotion spots. The Round 26 fixtures include Náutico vs. Botafogo-SP, Criciúma vs. Cuiabá, Heriberto Hülse and Athletic taking on Vila Nova, CRB facing América-MG, Novorizontino versus Avaí, Goiás versus Fortaleza, Juventude against Atlético-GO, Ceará and Sport, and finally, Ponte Preta taking on São Bernardo.
