Search continues for two more after second teen confirmed drowned in Kota Tinggi

Kota Tinggi - A 16-year-old teenager, Muhammad Thaqif Rayyan Rumainoor, has been found dead after going missing while bathing at Tanjung Lompat Beach. The body was discovered approximately 800 meters away from where Alif Taqiuddin Kamal Hasrul's body was recovered the day before. Lieutenant Commander Mohamed Shafiee Bakar of Tanjung Sedili Zone Maritime confirmed the identity of the deceased and stated that the family has been notified.

His body is currently undergoing a post-mortem examination at Kota Tinggi Hospital. The search for two other missing teenagers, Muhammad Adib Hafiy Kamal and Mohamad Haiman Fitri Supian, both 16 years old, is still underway. Authorities are searching within a seven-nautical-mile radius of the beach, north-west of Tanjung Lompat.

The incident occurred when a group of 15 teenagers arrived at the sea for a two-day camp. Initially, two of them were rescued, while the remaining four were feared drowned. The Kota Tinggi deputy district police chief had earlier reported the discovery of Alif Taqiuddin's body 500 meters from where he was reported missing. The Fire and Rescue Service Department received an emergency call at 8:19 am regarding the situation, with six 16-year-olds forming part of the group who had been camping in the area.
