PUBG's new spin-off game is 'faster, meaner, and more aggressive' with sword hands and 'a little bit of light cannibalism'

Krafton and PUBG Studios have unveiled PUBG: DED NET, a new roguelite FPS spin-off that offers a faster, more aggressive, and meaner gaming experience. The game is set in the 90s and features a smaller, denser map with intensified movement and player mechanics. DED NET's creative director, Dave Curd, explains that players can expect an unhinged and unfiltered gameplay with a variety of build options and 70-plus abilities to experiment with.

One of the game's themes involves sacrificing flesh for power, where losing the ability to manipulate guns or drive can make a player more effective in close-quarters combat. DED NET also includes a soundtrack featuring grunge and hip-hop music from the 90s era. The developers hope that DED NET's chaotic, all-American, 90s-inspired gunfest will appeal to fans of the original PUBG game, with a chance to participate in a closed beta test soon.
