PAS Youth wants party to defend all existing seats in future elections

At the annual muktamar of the PAS Youth wing, a motion was approved unanimously to have the Islamic party defend all of its existing parliamentary and state seats in future elections. This decision, tabled by a Padang Terap delegate, was made by over 800 delegates present. The motion, among six approved by the youth wing, aims to maintain the trust and confidence of voters who elected PAS.

It also serves as a core policy during seat negotiations with allies. Speculation has arisen that the PAS-led Perikatan Nasional may cooperate with Barisan Nasional in the upcoming general election, particularly after their successful alliance in the Aug 1 Negeri Sembilan elections. However, formal discussions have not commenced, and the prospects of a BN-PN pact for the Melaka state election, slated for February 2027, remain uncertain.
