The delegation comprised committee Chairperson Senator William Kisang, Vice-Chairperson Senator Beatrice Ogolla, and Engineer Nicholas Gumbo.

The meeting, as reported by Oburu on X, aimed to check on his well-being following a recent hospital visit that had raised public concern about his health. In his update, Oburu stated that the senators had called to check on his condition and that the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the committee's work and legislative priorities, resulting in a "productive update on the committee meetings" and discussions on advancing the legislative agenda.
