Oak Ridge fans invited to pregame tailgate party

Oak Ridge residents are invited to a pregame tailgate party beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday, September 4th. The event will take place at the Wildcat Tailgate Pavilion, located at 100 Kentucky Ave., where fans and friends can savor freshly grilled wiener dogs until kickoff. The Oak Ridge High School team will be facing Lenoir City at Blankenship Field at 7 p.m.

Chris Corwin, a 1989 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and organizer of the event, expressed gratitude to Jim Normand along with his sons and fellow former Wildcats, James and Elliott, for generously sponsoring this week's community tailgate. Jim, formerly part of the 1979 state championship team, will be among those grilling and serving all-beef hot dogs from their local favorite butcher shop, Secret City Butcher Shop, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
