MyRepublic Launches Hyperpeer In Malaysia, Promises Up To 30% Lower Ping

MyRepublic has unveiled Hyperpeer, a novel service aimed at enhancing the gaming network connection between players and online game servers. This service is available in Malaysia and Singapore, and is compatible irrespective of the consumer’s Internet service provider. It is essential to note that Hyperpeer does not enhance the internet connection's bandwidth; rather, it automatically optimizes routing by selecting the shortest path to the game server.

This approach aids in delivering lower latency, packet loss, and improved connection stability. MyRepublic asserts that the service decreases ping by as much as 30%. The official release notes that Hyperpeer employs a private network exclusively for gaming traffic, distinct from bandwidth-intensive activities such as video streaming, large file downloads, and transfers.

This strategy is intended to provide a more reliable gaming connection, unaffected by competing internet traffic. Users can easily connect to Hyperpeer with a single click via the provider's desktop application. Additionally, the service includes a 24/7 dedicated helpdesk for user support. Hyperpeer is available for SGD6.90 (~RM22) per month for the first 100 customers, after which it will revert to its standard price of SGD9.90 (~RM31) per month.

An annual subscription costs SGD79.90 (~RM254) per year. New users can avail a complimentary seven-day trial from MyRepublic to test the service before subscribing. It is worth mentioning that a 24-month Hyperpeer subscription is bundled with MyRepublic's GAMER+ Broadband Plans. However, as of the writing, GAMER+ plans are available only in Singapore, while Hyperpeer can be used as a standalone service in Malaysia.
