Motorcyclist injured by cable dangling from MRT viaduct

Between Sri Raya and Bandar Tun Hussein Onn MRT stations, a motorcyclist sustained injuries and several vehicles sustained damage after a grounding cable dangled from an MRT viaduct early this morning. Rapid KL reported that preliminary assessments found the cable had been severed, prompting speculation of possible cable theft. The motorcyclist received emergency medical attention prior to being transported via ambulance to Kajang Hospital for further evaluation.

Aside from the motorcyclist, multiple vehicles suffered harm to their exteriors and windows as they navigated through the compromised area. Upon learning of the incident, Rapid KL dispatched its technical team to the site for inspections and to eliminate the immediate threat posed by the cable. The inspection confirmed that the MRT viaduct's structure and train systems remained intact, ensuring the Kajang Line train service continued to operate without disruption.

Rapid KL affirmed that the Kajang Line train service remains secure and operates as normal. The company is collaborating closely with the highway operator and pertinent authorities to amass additional information and conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
