Mapei cresce nella Ue con acquisizioni in Polonia e Olanda

Mapei, the Italian multinational company, has expanded its presence in Europe through strategic acquisitions in Poland and the Netherlands. The company acquired Werner Janikowo, a Polish firm specialized in the production of waterproof bitumen membranes and roofing systems, through its subsidiary Mapei Polska. Founded in 2003, Mapei Polska has established itself as a reference in waterproofing innovations, particularly in thermosetting membranes and self-adhesive systems.

The acquisition not only strengthens Mapei's position in Poland but also supports the company's growth in Europe, where the construction market is expected to reach $130 billion by 2031 with an annual growth rate of 5.5%.

In addition, Mapei also acquired Eurovite, a Dutch company specializing in adhesives and complementary products for the construction sector, based in Ede. This acquisition further reinforces Mapei's industrial presence in the Netherlands, enabling local production to better serve the market and sustain growth in a rapidly developing region.

Mapei has been present in the Netherlands since 2009 with a logistics and commercial office in Apeldoorn, employing over 40 people and generating a revenue of 13.5 million euros in 2025. The company's group also includes two other entities in the Netherlands: Sopro and Polyglass.

The Squinzi family-owned multinational concluded 2025 with a consolidated revenue of over 4.4 billion euros, marking a 1.4% increase compared to the previous year. The group operates in 59 countries through a network of 92 companies and employs more than 14,000 people.
