Long jump champion Davis-Woodhall posts harrowing video of her head-on car crash

Olympic champion long jumper Tara Davis-Woodhall was involved in a serious car accident while en route to a training session. The incident, captured on video from her car's dashcam, showed a vehicle making a right turn out of a parking lot colliding with her car, almost head-on. Both cars were severely damaged, with airbags deploying.

Davis-Woodhall, 27, indicated that both vehicles were likely traveling around 20 mph at the time of impact. The American athlete stated that she is fortunate to be alive with no life-threatening injuries, though she is experiencing a concussion. Her mental state remains unclear, as she is taking the situation one day at a time. Davis-Woodhall's participation in the upcoming Ultimate World Championships, which offer first prize winnings of $150,000, is currently uncertain as she has not practiced since the accident.
