See-To was never in MCA, says Wee

MCA president Wee Ka Siong has clarified that social media influencer Eric See-To, known as Lim Sian See, was never a member of the party, despite claims to the contrary. In a Facebook post responding to See-To's earlier statement, Wee stated that he had previously invited See-To to join MCA, but the influencer chose not to pursue membership with any political party.

See-To had previously denied being an MCA member and accused J-Kom, the community communications department, of falsely linking him to the party through a graphic circulated online. He urged J-Kom not to slander him and emphasized that he had never been a member of any political party, despite his previous role as the deputy strategic communications director for Barisan Nasional.

In response to Wee's post, See-To thanked the president and indicated that he had no objections if the MCA leader wished to pursue legal action against J-Kom director-general Hisyamuddin Ghazali regarding the matter.
