Lenovo takes the wraps off 2 new Nvidia RTX Spark laptops at IFA 2026

At the end of July 2026, at the IFA tech show in Berlin, Nvidia announced that laptops with RTX Spark chip will go on sale in October. Major laptop makers like Microsoft, Lenovo, HP, and Dell will have RTX Spark devices. Though the RTX Spark laptops showcased at IFA were familiar, they emphasized local AI performance, which is impressive but niche for consumers, and technologies like DLSS upscaling and Multi Frame Gen (MFG) could speed up workflows for content creators.

At IFA, RTX Spark laptops were demonstrated running games like DOOM The Dark Ages and 007 First Light via Microsoft's Prism emulation layer. The spokesperson said that the performance hit of running games through emulation was negligible for GPU-bound titles and that power usage would remain consistent whether plugged in or running on battery.

However, details such as pricing, performance numbers, and specific configurations were not disclosed, which made it difficult for consumers to get excited about the laptops.
