Kpone outdoors new Paramount Chief

Yesterday, numerous residents of Kpone in Ghana's Greater Accra Region gathered in the town's main streets to celebrate the inauguration of the new Paramount Chief, Nene TettehMansro II. The joyous procession featured drumming, dancing, and other traditional displays as people lined the roads to cheer the chief. The event was marked by grandeur and excitement, with community members expressing hope that the installation would bring peace, unity, and progress to Kpone.

Some local youth spoke to The Ghanaian Times, stating that the new chief's installation had alleviated concerns and promised a brighter future for the community. Despite some individuals raising doubts about Nene TettehMansro II's legitimacy as the KponeMantse, the Royal Bediako We (Clan) and kingmakers of the royal stool dismissed these claims as false and unfounded. The authorities emphasized that the installation had followed customary practices and Ghana's legal framework, including the Public Order Act.

The spokesperson for the Royal Bediako We confirmed that Nene TettehMansro II, also known as AgoeTetteyKwao in private life, had been duly installed as the KponeMantse. The authorities urged the public to disregard misinformation and negative media reports suggesting otherwise. They called for unity among Kpone's residents and support for the new leadership's efforts to foster development in the traditional area.

The traditional authorities remain committed to maintaining peace and unity in the region and invited stakeholders to address any concerns through proper traditional and legal channels.
