Kes rasuah bekas COO Tabung Haji tangguh ke 24 Sept

Former Tabung Haji COO Adi Azuan Abdul Ghani has been rescheduled to appear in court on September 24 for charges under Section 165 of the Criminal Procedure Code, relating to a public servant obtaining something of value. The Kuala Lumpur High Court has postponed his trial until then after his lawyer, Wan Azwan Aiman Wan Fakhruddin, informed the court that Adi is currently receiving treatment at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) due to heart issues.

The court was informed that Adi has been admitted since August 31. His wife, Zureen Zainuddin, also informed the court that her husband is undergoing several examinations and the duration of his hospital stay is uncertain. The court accepted Zureen's explanation and stated that having the trial at the hospital is not practical. "Let him rest for now," the judge said.

Adi was originally supposed to appear in court on the same day for the charge under Section 165 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which involves a public servant obtaining something of value. He had been under house arrest by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for four days in 2018 for using a local contractor for designing cabinets in his house.
