Jets' search for quarterback leads to workout with second-round draft bust

The New York Jets are searching for a quarterback to bolster their practice squad, leading to workouts with two signal-callers. One of them, Will Levis, is a former second-round draft pick from the Tennessee Titans in 2023. Levis displayed promise during his first nine games in the NFL but has since shown himself to be a turnover machine and was ultimately cut by the Titans after suffering a season-ending injury.

Despite his talent, Levis must improve his consistency if he hopes to succeed in the NFL. The second quarterback the Jets worked with, Jack Plummer, is an undrafted free agent from Louisville who has never played an NFL snap. Plummer possesses a strong arm but struggles with pressure and lacks mobility. He is clearly the less appealing option in comparison to Levis.
