It’s not just you; ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok are all down in confirmed outages

A widespread outage has affected popular AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok, according to multiple reports on DownDetector and confirmed outages on their respective dashboards. OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude, and X's Grok are all down, raising questions about the common cause. Cursor, an AI agent, has also reported an outage, likely due to the simultaneous issues with Grok and Claude.

While AI outages are not unusual, the simultaneous shutdown of three major platforms is noteworthy. Google's Gemini does not appear to be impacted, and Google has not yet confirmed an outage. The underlying reason for the disruption may be linked to Microsoft Azure, which is experiencing a surge in outage reports. All three platforms utilize Azure for cloud services, although other providers are also involved.
