Ho Central MP supports JHS graduates with learning materials

The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Richmond Edem Kpotosu, recently distributed educational materials and personal items to 254 Junior High School graduates in Ho, Ghana. This act of kindness is part of Kpotosu's development agenda to promote education in his constituency. He stressed the importance of education in national development and encouraged the graduates to make the most of the opportunities available to them.

Kpotosu announced that he has also started skills training programs to equip young people with valuable skills, complementing government youth training initiatives. He emphasized the role of technical and vocational education in the country's development and appealed to parents to support their children in pursuing technical and vocational training.

Dr Esther Yeboah-Adzimah, the Ho Municipal Director of Education, praised Kpotosu's gesture as a significant step in the lives of the beneficiaries. She urged the students to remain focused and disciplined, warning them against drug abuse, theft, and early sexual activity, which could jeopardize their chances of becoming responsible adults.

Yeboah-Adzimah also introduced a program called "Grooming for Final-Year JHS Students" to help students prepare for their upcoming secondary school experiences and exams. She reminded parents of their responsibility to support their children's education and emphasized that free secondary education under the Free SHS policy still required parental contributions for various needs.
