GTA teams up with QFBA, QU to advance tax specialist programme

The General Tax Authority (GTA) has entered into two memorandums of cooperation with Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) and Qatar University (QU) to bolster the Tax Specialist certificate program. This initiative aims to enhance the readiness of personnel to adapt to evolving tax system developments.

The memorandum with QFBA was signed by GTA President Dr. Khalifa Al Salahi Al Yafei, while the agreement with QU was signed by GTA Assistant President Ghanim bin Khalifa Al Attiyah and QU Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Professor Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Al Kaabi. The collaboration seeks to foster a stronger exchange of expertise and knowledge between the Authority and the academic and professional institutions.

The primary objective of these partnerships is to leverage the strengths of both GTA and QFBA as well as QU to elevate professional qualifications in tax-related fields. This effort is expected to contribute to the creation of qualified national human capital capable of meeting labor market demands and supporting Qatar's economic growth.

The partnerships will allow the involved entities to capitalize on the Tax Specialist Certificate program and aid in its ongoing enhancement, thus supporting the certification of specialists who can deliver tax services and advisory support in line with the Authority's regulations, rules, and instructions.

Building sustainable partnerships with educational and professional institutions is considered a key pillar in advancing professional qualification and development, as affirmed by the General Tax Authority.
