GES releases national harmonised prospectus for 2026/2027 SHS admissions

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has unveiled the National Harmonised Prospectus for students planning to join Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) for the 2026/2027 academic year. This document, applicable to both boarding and day students, details the necessary items required for admission. The GES, through its Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi, urged parents and students to thoroughly examine the prospectus and arrange accordingly prior to the commencement of the new academic term.

The GES also urged educational institutions and other pertinent bodies to conform to the guidelines set forth in the National Harmonised Prospectus to guarantee a seamless, uniform, and standardized admission process across the country. The release of this prospectus precedes the student placement exercise, aiming to equip parents and students with comprehensive insight into the essential items needed for enrollment.

This, in turn, ensures that incoming SHS/SHTS students are well-prepared to embark on the 2026/2027 academic year.
