First UFC 334 fight revealed for Madison Square Garden card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship's annual Madison Square Garden card is progressing. Nazim Sadykhov will face Jefferson Nascimento in a lightweight bout at UFC 334 on November 14 at MSG in New York City. Although the UFC has not officially confirmed the matchup, Sadykhov announced the bout on Instagram. They previously fought together on the same card earlier this year.

Sadykhov (11-3-1) is a -250 underdog against Nascimento (13-1), who was a highly anticipated undefeated prospect entering his UFC debut against fellow promotional debutant Tahir Abdullayev in June at UFC Baku. However, Nascimento faced criticism for his lackluster performance, coasting through the first two rounds before Nascimento was stopped late in the third round by referee Jim Perdios, a decision that was met with controversy.

Nascimento, who made his UFC debut at welterweight, will compete at 155 pounds in hopes of securing his first victory in the Octagon. Sadykhov, on the other hand, was a -250 favorite against Matheus Camilo in front of a home crowd in Azerbaijan. Camilo, however, silenced the crowd by knocking out Sadykhov in the first round, another controversial stoppage this time called by referee Rich Mitchell.

This marked Sadykhov's second straight defeat, following his loss to Fares Ziam last December, bringing his UFC record to 4-2-1.
