EPL: What Tosin Adarabioyo told John Terry about Chelsea boss, Xabi Alonso

Chelsea legend John Terry disclosed to GBFC that Tosin Adarabioyo expressed his disappointment upon learning he was not part of Xabi Alonso's plans at Chelsea. Adarabioyo, who joined the Blues two years ago on a free transfer from Fulham, made 70 appearances for the club in all competitions. However, the 28-year-old found himself on the sidelines during the pre-season under Alonso and was absent from the matchday squad for Alonso's first three competitive games.

The arrival of Maxence Lacroix and the emergence of Josh Acheampong led to Adarabioyo falling down the pecking order, resulting in his availability for transfer at the end of the window. He subsequently signed a permanent deal with Tottenham for around £7 million during deadline day. In north London, he will be joining Mykhailo Mudryk, who has moved to Spurs on a season-long loan.

Terry revealed that the defender was "disappointed" by the abrupt end to his tenure at Chelsea, stating that Adarabioyo responded to his question, "What did the manager say?" with, "I'm just not in his plans." He acknowledged that Adarabioyo respected the decision, but emphasized that the manager was straightforward, leaving no ambiguity about his future at Chelsea.
