Cloudflare launches AI-powered vulnerability detection service

San Francisco, CA - Cloudflare Inc. has unveiled Vulnerability Discovery and Remediation, an AI-powered service designed to identify and address software vulnerabilities, the company announced in a press release. The early access service, part of the OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network partnership, leverages OpenAI Daybreak models, like GPT-5.6 Cyber, to analyze code and automatically generate patches.

By integrating AI-driven code analysis across Cloudflare's platform, including Web Assets, Web Application Firewall, and Workers Observability, the system aims to prevent attacks before they occur. Customers can correlate real-time traffic with vulnerability scans, create custom WAF rules for specific attack vectors, and receive AI-generated code patches for review by human developers.

Matthew Prince, Cloudflare's co-founder and CEO, emphasized that the service enables proactive, rather than reactive, security measures. OpenAI's McCall McIntyre expressed excitement about providing enterprise defenders with AI-driven security tools. Currently, Vulnerability Discovery and Remediation is available by invitation only to select Cloudflare Enterprise customers.
