Abhishek alleges BJP stormed TMC office

Kolkata's Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of launching a violent attack on his Camac Street office in Kolkata during the early hours of Thursday morning. The alleged incident involved BJP workers entering the office with weapons, causing damage to property and assaulting staff members.

Banerjee expressed his concerns to the Governor of West Bengal, the Union Home Minister, and the Prime Minister's Office, demanding immediate action against the attack. He also questioned the response from the Kolkata Police, who allegedly took no action for nearly two hours despite multiple calls and emails from party workers and lawyers.

The TMC leader called the incident "shameful" and demanded that those responsible be arrested, while also urging the Calcutta High Court to uphold the rule of law in West Bengal.
