Wrexham rout Millwall to seal first Championship win

Wrexham secured their first Championship win of the season with a convincing 3-0 victory over injury-riddled Millwall at The Den. The Welsh team, owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac, had drawn with Cardiff and Watford in previous matches and suffered a home defeat to Birmingham before this encounter. Wrexham bounced back impressively in south London, ending their bad run of form.

Millwall's Zak Sturge scored an own goal in the first half when he deflected Issa Kabore's cross into his own net. Wrexham's Kieffer Moore added the second goal from 20 yards just after halftime, while Jacques Ekomie sealed the win with a close-range finish. Following a run of two clean sheets in victories over Bristol City and Norwich, Millwall now concedes eight goals in just two games.

The loss saw Millwall's fitness concerns escalate just 24 hours after Nigeria star Femi Azeez joined Brighton for £15 million. Rumarn Burrell scored both goals for QPR as they beat Cardiff 2-1, extending their impressive start to the season. Charlton secured a 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion, while Burnley earned just their second point from four league matches with a draw at Middlesbrough.
