Wike, Okpebholo mourn as Edo PDP chieftain Orbih dies

Nyesom Wike, the Nigerian Minister, expressed his profound sorrow over the passing of PDP National Vice Chairman (South South), Chief Daniel Osi Orbih. Describing the death as "painful," Wike mourned the loss of a true friend and political associate. Orbih departed this world on Monday, August 31, 2026, leaving behind his wife, two children, and several relatives.

Reacting to the news through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Wike hailed Orbih as "a friend indeed" and lamented the loss of a significant figure in the political landscape of Edo State. He emphasized that the political community would deeply mourn Orbih's absence, stating, "I have lost a friend and a committed political ally.
