Urquijo leads new ALI integrated estates group

Manila, Philippines - Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), the prominent property firm, is establishing a new integrated estates group under the leadership of Jaime Zobel Urquijo. Urquijo, Bea Zobel Jr.'s son, will assume a more prominent role as the head of the AyalaLand Estates Group, commencing next year. The integration will commence on January 1, 2027, with ALI combining its Urban Estates and Regional Estates operations under the AyalaLand Estates Group.

Currently serving as the senior vice president and head of Urban Estates, Urquijo will spearhead the newly formed organization. Christopher Maglanoc, the senior vice president and head of Regional Estates, will step down effective December 31, 2026. Urquijo was appointed to manage the development of ALI’s urban communities in March, joining the company alongside his sister, Paloma Urquijo, who serves as the creative director for hospitality at Ayala Land.

Last year, Urquijo was promoted to executive director of Ayala Corp., where he is responsible for leading the holding company's internal transformation efforts as it strives to add greater value to the entire group. With a presence across 54 estates throughout the nation, ALI boasts a diverse real estate portfolio encompassing residential, office, commercial, and industrial properties available for sale, as well as properties for lease, including shopping centers, office spaces, hotels, resorts, warehouses, and co-living and co-working facilities.
