India condemns destruction of Hindu temple in Pak

New Delhi has strongly condemned the reported destruction of a Hindu temple in the Narowal region of Pakistan, urging Islamabad to conduct a thorough investigation and hold those responsible fully accountable. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal expressed deep concern over the disturbing reports of the historic temple's desecration in the village of Siraj, Narowal.

Jaiswal emphasized that the failure to protect this century-old minority place of worship highlights the ongoing vulnerability of religious communities and the violation of their freedoms and cultural heritage in Pakistan. He called upon the Pakistani government to promptly and transparently investigate the incident, ensuring accountability for the perpetrators.

Additionally, Jaiswal demanded immediate action from Pakistan to restore the desecrated temple and fulfill its duty to safeguard the safety, security, and well-being of all minority citizens and their cultural heritage.
