‘Truth Has Triumphed’: Disha Salian’s Father Satish Turns Emotional After Bombay HC Directs CBI To Register FIR

Mumbai witnessed an emotional moment on Wednesday as Disha Salian's father, Satish, expressed gratitude to the Bombay High Court for directing the CBI to register an FIR in the death case of his daughter. Speaking to reporters, Satish stated that he felt justice had been served and that tears were now flowing, after he had not cried since Disha's passing. The court's order marked the beginning of uncovering the truth, according to Satish, who vowed to cooperate fully with the investigation.

The Bombay High Court's decision to order the CBI to probe Disha's death came after a bench led by Justice Sarang Kotwal instructed the senior CBI officer in charge of Mumbai to appoint an investigating officer, record Satish's statement, and register an FIR. The court emphasized that no individual should be considered an accused until there was sufficient evidence to raise reasonable suspicion.

Disha, who worked as a manager and was the representative of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, tragically fell from the 14th-floor of a residential building in Malad, Mumbai, on June 8, 2020. Initially, the Mumbai Police registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR), but the investigators concluded that she had committed suicide. Satish's lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, welcomed the court's decision, expressing full confidence that the truth would prevail.

Ojha had alleged that Disha was assaulted and killed, prompting the family to seek an FIR and a CBI investigation.
