Tinubu mourns Emir of Zurmi

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Emir of Zurmi, His Royal Highness Alhaji Bello Sulaiman. The Emir passed away five years after taking on his role. In a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu conveyed his deepest sympathies to the deceased monarch's family, the Zurmi Emirate Council, the Zamfara State Government, and the general populace, as well as the traditional institution in Nigeria.

The President described Sulaiman as a highly esteemed ruler who guided his people with wisdom, dignity, and unwavering commitment during a difficult era. Tinubu highlighted Sulaiman's courage and leadership in navigating security issues while fostering peace, unity, and resilience among his constituents. He emphasized that the late Emir was a stabilizing force whose wise counsel and dedication to peace-making were invaluable to the Zurmi Emirate, Zamfara State, and Nigeria's overall quest for lasting peace in the Northwest.

The President concluded his statement by praying that Almighty Allah would forgive the monarch's mistakes, reward his benevolent deeds, and grant him eternal paradise. He also extended his heartfelt prayers for solace and strength to the family, the emirate, and all those mourning the loss of the revered leader.
