#SHOWBIZ: Veteran actor Aziz Abdullah passes away at 70

Veteran actor Aziz Abdullah died at the age of 70 due to health complications in Serdang, Malaysia. He succumbed to a lung and blood infection caused by a bed sore combined with kidney problems. The cause of death was further complicated by a history of kidney failure, hypertension, diabetes, and a previous stroke. Nadia Hanim, his only child, revealed that the lung infection resulted from milk entering his respiratory tract when he vomited.

Aziz was discharged from Putrajaya Hospital on August 20 but his health rapidly declined a week later after vomiting while being fed milk at home. He was admitted to Hospital Sultan Idris Shah on August 26, where he struggled to communicate due to weakened speech and limited eye movements. Nadia recalled that her father had retired from screen acting after moving to Bangi, opting for occasional roles in traditional bangsawan theatre productions.

Post-retirement, he found solace driving a taxi and spending time with his grandchildren and tending to his garden. Aziz Abdullah's funeral rites were held at Al-Hasanah Mosque in Bandar Baru Bangi, followed by burial at Sungai Tangkas Islamic Cemetery.
