This approach reduces the time spent on manual fixes and ensures quick deployment of secure patches within the organization's cloud environment.

Early access is granted to critical partners in order to bolster resilience against potential threats. To maintain responsible usage, participants must adhere to operational standards and deploy robust security measures. As of now, there are over 650 partners globally involved in the program. The Fairwind Program will continue to evolve based on feedback from both partners and users, with a focus on balancing open access to AI while maintaining stringent security measures.

While the program prioritizes Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber access, any Google Cloud customer can secure their code using CodeMender with publicly available models on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, alongside industry-leading AI threat defense solutions. Google's longstanding commitment to zero-trust architecture, advanced AI defenses, and built-in security helps protect billions of accounts daily, setting a benchmark for online safety.

This initiative is part of Google's broader mission to enhance global cyber resilience and fortify grassroots cyber defense efforts. Through Google.org, the company has pledged over $100 million in global cybersecurity funding, with the latest 2026 Google.org US Cybersecurity Impact Report highlighting $36 million allocated to 35 cyber clinics.

These clinics offer free, hands-on security support to over 1,250 hospitals, public school districts, and municipal utilities across the United States. The key to success in this fight against cyber threats lies in minimizing the time between identifying a vulnerability and patching it. Through the Fairwind Program, government and enterprise partners gain access to autonomous tools that help them rectify system flaws at scale, staying ahead of rapidly evolving threats.
