In an interview with CNBC TV18, Priyavrata Mafatlal, Vice Chairman of the Arvind Mafatlal Group, shared his insights about the importance of legacy, the values that have guided the group for generations, and the significance of maintaining a balance between accountability and a human approach to business.

Mafatlal emphasized that his grandfather often advised, "Always build an institution that outlives an individual." The group's objective is to identify and celebrate those who create lasting legacies that will outlast their time. He explained that legacy holds significant importance in their initiative, being a blend of longevity, impact, transparency, and even the emotional connection one can establish with others.

Mafatlal is a fifth-generation entrepreneur and his family has made a conscious effort to uphold consistent values across generations while adapting to changing times.
