Police question suspect who said Amir Ohana, rest of Likud 'deserving of death'

A 27-year-old resident of Tel Aviv was questioned by police on Wednesday, suspected of inciting violence through social media posts targeting Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana. The Israel Police announced the release of the suspect under restricted conditions, stating that the investigation is still ongoing. The probe stems from Ohana's post on social media on Tuesday, in which he shared his experience accompanying his children to their first day of school.

Ohana mentioned encountering stickers with his image painted red and the words "There is no forgiveness" while walking with his kids. In his post, Ohana expressed that he considered the camp responsible for the violence as "the camp that is capable of staining the first day of school of my children, Ella and David, who are starting sixth grade this morning."

The suspect, who responded to Ohana's post, defended his stance, agreeing that all 64 individuals should be considered deserving of death. He argued that the victims should "suffer every remaining day of their lives" and criticized the suspect for showing compassion towards those who showed none to the hostages.
