Police bust one-chance robbery, kidnapping syndicate in Rivers, arrest 14 suspects

The Rivers State Police Command has dismantled a one-chance robbery and kidnapping syndicate operating in Port Harcourt and its surrounding areas. Fourteen suspects, including two women, have been arrested. The suspects, some of whom were previously linked to cultism, confessed to their involvement. Their arrest followed numerous complaints from the public about the criminal activities.

The suspects were involved in various incidents of one-chance robberies, and several pieces of evidence, such as a mini-bus and mobile phones, were recovered. Investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest other members of the syndicate, trace their victims, and recover stolen property.
