PFIPC: Reps uncover fake documents, 58 accounts

The House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee investigating the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, has uncovered evidence of alleged forgery and alteration in presidential and legislative documents meant to legitimize the agency. Committee chair Yusuf Adamu Gagdi revealed the discovery of 58 bank accounts linked to PFIPC's self-proclaimed Director-General, Adeniyi Adeyemi.

An investigation into an alleged N400 million transaction is also underway. The committee cleared President Femi Gbajabiamila's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, of any involvement in the purported agency's operations. Preliminary findings indicate PFIPC was not lawfully established by the Federal Government, and the documents purportedly granting the agency legitimacy were forged or manipulated.

Additionally, it was determined that a letter appointing Adeyemi as Director-General, allegedly sanctioned by Gbajabiamila, never existed, as no such appointment was made or approved by the Presidency.
