Pakistan, Tajikistan Plan Joint Sports and Employment Opportunities for Youth

Pakistan and Tajikistan have announced plans to collaborate on youth employment and sports initiatives through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The government has obtained Federal Cabinet approval to finalize the agreement between Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Youth Program and Tajikistan’s Committee of Youth Affairs and Sports.

This proposed cooperation aims to establish a framework for empowering young individuals, enhancing skills development, promoting employment opportunities, and encouraging their involvement in policymaking.

The MoU will also focus on promoting sports, with both nations planning joint competitions and programs to foster physical activity, teamwork, and interaction among young people. Additionally, the agreement includes provisions for exchanges between young leaders and policymakers, enabling them to exchange experiences and develop policies that address the challenges faced by their respective youth populations.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry has granted political clearance to the draft MoU, while the Law Division has approved its text. The Prime Minister’s Youth Program has completed the necessary formalities to proceed with the agreement. The cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan is expected to create more opportunities for young people in both countries and strengthen bilateral ties through various means such as employment, skills, education, policy exchanges, and sports. The MoU is expected to be signed once it receives final approval from the Federal Cabinet.
