Official: Barcelona complete La Liga registration of two summer signings; squad now complete

Barcelona have officially registered two summer signings, Gabriel Jesus and Dominik Livakovic, completing their summer transfer business with La Liga. The pair were the only arrivals still awaiting registration, allowing Hansi Flick to field his complete senior squad for official games. Gabriel Jesus will now wear the No. 9 shirt, following Robert Lewandowski's departure, while Livakovic, who has a deal until 2030, has been assigned No. 25.

The registration of the Brazilian Jesus and Croatian Livakovic concludes a transfer window that had to adhere to financial fair play restrictions, though these were less strict than in previous summers. Jesus joined Barcelona from Arsenal for a fee of about €10 million plus variables, whereas Livakovic moved from Fenerbahçe for €2 million plus €500,000 in variables.

Despite having completed their moves to Catalonia, Jesus and Livakovic were initially unable to be registered, preventing them from officially featuring for Barça. However, this issue has now been resolved. The Croatian goalkeeper's registration was particularly uncertain due to Barcelona's consideration of loaning him to Dinamo Zagreb if they couldn't finalize his registration.

That scenario is no longer necessary as Livakovic will remain with Barcelona and is now an eligible player for selection. Barcelona had already registered Rodri, Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, and Joao Cancelo before the final pair, leaving only Jesus and Livakovic to be officially registered. Now that they are, Jesse Bisiwu, who was previously linked with the reserve team, is no longer part of the first-team registration process.
