Ndindi Nyoro set to visit Wamunyoro

Ndindi Nyoro, leader of the People's Party of Kenya (PPK), has firmly denied allegations that he is a spy or mole within the opposition. He addressed these concerns during an interview with a local television station on September 2, 2026, asserting that no opposition party has publicly accused the PPK of undermining their efforts. Nyoro emphasized that his party had not been singled out as a threat to the coalition by any opposition leader.

He dismissed worries that his political actions might disrupt the unity of the Mt Kenya region or spark unnecessary disagreements among leaders. Nyoro stressed that it is crucial for leaders to refrain from creating conflicts where none existed. He pointed out that leaders from all opposition parties, including the Democratic Constitution Party (DCP), had extended congratulatory messages to him, indicating a lack of underlying divisions within the opposition.

Nyoro's stance on his political involvement came as there was growing speculation about whether the PPK might siphon votes from other opposition parties in the region. He categorically denied the notion that he entered politics to create divisions among opposition supporters. According to Nyoro, he joined the PPK after it was formed and subsequently elected to lead the party. He argued that the party's existence predated his leadership, thus negating any claim that his entry had caused divisions within the opposition.

Additionally, Nyoro questioned the assertion that the PPK was responsible for splitting votes. He remained unconvinced as to which party was actually losing votes due to the PPK's presence. "Who precisely is losing votes because of the PPK's existence?" he questioned. The PPK leader's comments highlighted his intention to remain focused on his role within the opposition without engaging in the political disputes that have arisen from his perceived position and influence.

He assured that his party's relationship with other opposition leaders remained amicable, despite the ongoing debate surrounding his role and political impact.
