MSRIT welcomes new engineering batch

M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) in Bengaluru welcomed a fresh cohort of first-year engineering students on Wednesday. Dr. Shubha V Iyengar, a scientist and Padma Shri awardee, addressed the newcomers, emphasizing that even the seemingly impossible can be achieved through hard work and dedication. She highlighted how the "Make in India" initiative has led to a reduction in imports of materials and equipment in the aviation sector, as the country now manufactures machines and develops apps required in this field. Iyengar encouraged students to draw inspiration from such campaigns.

M.R. Seetharam, chairman of the Gokula Education Foundation, further addressed the new batch. He stressed that academic marks are not the only measure of success, and acquiring knowledge during college days is crucial. Seetharam noted that the students have chosen a college equipped with experienced faculty, experiential learning opportunities, and state-of-the-art infrastructure. All they need to do now is work hard and develop the necessary skills.
