50:50 scheme sites: MLA Srivatsa urges govt. to set up Help Centre in MDA

MLA representative T.S. Srivatsa from the Krishnaraja Assembly constituency in Mysuru has called on the government to establish a Help Centre at the Mysuru Development Authority (MDA). The purpose of this center would be to assist the public in determining whether the sites they hold were among those allocated under the recently cancelled 50:50 ratio scheme.

Srivatsa sent a letter to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who also received a copy from the Secretary of the Department of Urban Development, Government of Karnataka. The MLA welcomed the government's decision to cancel sites allotted illegally under the 50:50 ratio scheme, as well as the steps taken to cancel sale deeds and khathas related to these sites.

Srivatsa emphasized that the cancelled list of sites should be made publicly available through the government's official website and prominent newspapers. He further advocated for the establishment of a Help Centre at the MDA premises, which would enable those with such sites to verify the legitimacy of their documents and ascertain if their sites are part of the cancelled illegally allotted properties.
