Luxury hotel giant Aman to make Korean debut in ritzy Cheongdam-dong

Luxury hotel giant Aman is preparing to make its debut in the Korean market, set to debut a hotel, branded residences, and a private club in Seoul's prestigious Cheongdam-dong district. The announcement came from a joint press release between Aman and Shinsegae Property, where the two entities announced their collaboration to develop Aman Seoul. This project will be the first venture of Aman in the Korean market, marking a significant expansion for the luxury brand.

The Aman Seoul project will span an expansive area of approximately 70,000 square meters, with a total of eight levels underground and 38 above ground. This development will house a hotel, 49 residences, as well as retail and cultural spaces. The property development will be overseen by Shinsegae Property, who will handle planning, strategy, and development. On the other hand, Aman will be involved in the architectural design and operations of the project.

Aman Seoul aims to be an "urban sanctuary", a blend of a hotel, branded residences, and Aman Club, a private membership community, all under one roof. The design of the complex will seamlessly integrate Korean spatial aesthetics with Aman's design philosophy. The interior design of the hotel and residences will be characterized by restrained elegance, with a focus on privacy and harmony between people, nature, and space.

Upon completion, Aman will operate the hotel, residences, and community facilities under a long-term management agreement.
