LSGA champions inclusion with Leadership Cup

A record-breaking 180 golfers took part in the Leadership Cup, organized by the Lagos State Golf Association as part of The Lagos Golf Experience, on 26th October 2023. The event held at Ikoyi Club 1938 combined golf, leadership training, networking, and social impact. A standout feature was the Leadership Golf Clinic, which introduced 20 high-profile leaders to the sport.

Participants included top officials from the Lagos State Government and key figures from finance and capital markets. The ceremony, which featured a ceremonial leadership tee-off, was opened by Princess Damilola Sunayon, representing Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat. Maureen Tamuno, CEO of Abuja Investment Company Limited, supported the initiative by awarding a special golf accessories prize to the winner of the Queens of the Greens category.

The gala dinner and prize presentation drew a distinguished crowd from the corporate, political, social, and sporting worlds. The Lagos Golf Experience was initiated to showcase the vision of the new executive committee of the Lagos State Golf Association, which aims to promote golf as a tool for leadership development, inclusion, mentorship, networking, and community building.
