Katara opens "Hubb | Love" exhibition by Shahida Ahmed

In Doha, Qatar, the Cultural Village Foundation, known as Katara, inaugurated the exhibition "Hubb | Love" by artist Shahida Ahmed in Building 18 - Gallery 2. The show, which will remain open until September 12, presents 24 paintings and three installations, offering a modern perspective on love as a universal language that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers.

Artist Shahida Ahmed stated that love is a human language that doesn't require translation, and her art can convey this concept in a manner that surpasses words and geographical boundaries. She explained that love is not merely a written word but a feeling and a visual experience that anyone can sense.

Arabic calligraphy, with its beauty and visual richness, served as a significant inspiration for Ahmed's work. She discovered in the Arabic letters an opportunity to explore the relationships between words, shapes, colors, and light. The exhibition, titled "Hubb | Love," seeks to embody the values of peace, solidarity, and communication, aiming to facilitate dialogue between cultures through the medium of art.
