Kano Governor Yusuf condemns bandit attacks in four LGAs

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has strongly condemned recent bandit attacks in four local government areas of Kano State, vowing to take stronger actions to ensure the safety of residents. According to a statement released by the governor's spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the affected areas include Chiromawa in Garun Mallam LGA, Beli in Rogo LGA, Bebeji and communities surrounding Gwarzo LGA.

Governor Yusuf expressed deep sympathy for the victims and their families, describing the incidents as deeply disturbing and unacceptable. The statement assured residents that the administration would work in tandem with security agencies to prevent further attacks and restore confidence in the impacted communities. The governor directed relevant authorities to enhance surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response operations in the affected zones.

He urged residents to remain calm and refrain from actions that could exacerbate tensions, while also calling for their cooperation with security personnel. Governor Yusuf commended the efforts of security forces and encouraged them to continue intelligence-led operations to safeguard vulnerable communities. He prayed for the deceased, wished the injured a swift recovery, and sought the safe return of any abducted individuals.

Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration's commitment to protecting lives and property and maintaining peace and security throughout Kano State.
