Gov Yusuf vows decisive action as attacks spread across 4 Kano LGAs

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has pledged to take decisive action against bandits following a spate of attacks reported across four local government areas. The affected regions include Chiromawa in Garun Mallam, Beli in Rogo, Bebeji, and areas surrounding Gwarzo. In a statement released by his spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Yusuf voiced his condolences to victims and their families, calling the incidents "deeply disturbing and unacceptable."

The governor pledged to collaborate with security agencies to bolster protection measures and safeguard the lives and property of residents in the impacted communities. He directed relevant authorities to intensify surveillance, intelligence collection, and rapid response operations in the targeted areas. Yusuf called on residents to remain calm and refrain from actions that could heighten tensions, assuring them that the government is closely working with security forces to restore trust in affected communities.

He also encouraged cooperation from residents in providing information that could help prevent additional attacks and apprehend the perpetrators.

Yusuf praised security personnel for their efforts and urged them to maintain intelligence-driven operations to protect vulnerable communities statewide. He prayed for the deceased victims, speedy recovery of the injured, and the safe return of any abducted individuals.
