Is Your Milk Pure? Indore Launches Quick Testing Drive; No Adulteration Found In Rapid Tests

Indore's Food Safety Administration launched a quick testing campaign, named TRIPLE T (Trust Through Testing), to ensure the milk sold in the city is free from adulteration. Utilizing the Food Safety on Wheels vehicle and Rapid Milk Testing Kits, the department's team conducted on-the-spot tests at various milk sellers, dairy shops, and food establishments.

They inspected milk sold by around eight to ten mobile vendors, including Shri Krishna Milk Dairy, Vrindavan Dairy, Farmers Milkcart, Shri Ji Milk Dairy, Krishna Milk Centre, and Mahavir Milk Dairy. These preliminary rapid tests did not detect any adulteration in the milk examined. However, officials emphasized that these were initial checks, and comprehensive laboratory testing would be carried out if necessary.

The campaign aims not only to inspect but also to pinpoint areas for improvement in food quality and raise awareness among food businesses and consumers. Through the Food Safety on Wheels initiative, locals are being educated on simple methods to assess the quality of commonly used food items at home. Meanwhile, the Ranipura Encroachment Drive sparked protests as traders attempted to blockade roads while the Integrated Municipal Committee cleared 60-70 shops.
