Iran targets American assets in Middle East after vowing 'severe' consequences for fresh wave of US strikes

In response to the recent wave of US strikes on Iranian targets, Iran launched a series of retaliatory attacks on American interests across the Middle East on Wednesday. The strikes targeted military bases, commercial shipping, and even civilian areas, causing widespread concern and casualties. Tehran claimed responsibility for missile attacks on two US bases in Jordan, while the Jordanian army intercepted 10 ballistic missiles fired from Iran, with no injuries reported.

Additional missile and drone attacks were reported in Kuwait and Bahrain, with Iranian forces targeting US forces at an air base in Bahrain. In Iraq's autonomous Kurdistan region, Iran's Revolutionary Guards struck US bases with missiles and drones, destroying a maintenance center, warehouses, and equipment. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian vowed to match any US move to return to a deal aimed at ending the war, warning that any country cooperating with the aggressive American army would face more severe and widespread responses.
