IFA 2026: Acer Doubles Down On Portable Gaming With The Predator Atlas 7, Project DualPlay Mini

At IFA 2026, Acer showcased two new portable gaming products: the Predator Atlas 7 and Project DualPlay Mini. The Predator Atlas 7 is a handheld PC featuring a 7-inch FHD touchscreen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. It sports dual 2W speakers with DTS:X support and two microphones with Acer PurifiedVoice for AI-assisted noise reduction.

Powered by an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and up to Intel Arc B390 graphics, the device comes with an 80Wh battery and a dual-fan cooling system. Acer claims the Predator Atlas 7 offers intuitive control through contoured grips, a larger palm rest area, recessed keys, and anti-slip texture. It also includes TMR option for joysticks, Hall Effect analogue triggers, and a fingerprint reader on the power button, all with RGB lighting.

The Project DualPlay Mini concept, meanwhile, aims to bridge mobile productivity with gaming. It offers two control configurations: handheld mode for a console-like experience, and laptop mode with a built-in physical keyboard for first-person shooter games. The device can also connect to an external monitor and features a flip-and-swivel design for quick mode switching.

Notably, the back cover of the Project DualPlay Mini features the words "Acer 50 since 1976" embedded in Morse Code, along with the same dual-fan design as the Predator Atlas 7.
