Elon Musk, the world's richest individual, has a net worth of $892 billion, a significant rebound from a $363 billion decline in July. His fortune increased by $202 billion in August alone, largely due to gains in the value of his stakes in SpaceX and Tesla. Musk is now less than $110 billion away from becoming a trillionaire again.

The second-richest person is Larry Page, Google's co-founder, with a fortune of $277 billion. Page's wealth fell by about $15 billion in August, making him the month's biggest loser among the top billionaires. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has a net worth of $268 billion. Sergey Brin, another Google co-founder, has $256 billion.

Michael Dell, the founder of Dell Technologies, is worth $241 billion. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, has $197 billion. Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle, has $193 billion, up from $193 billion after Oracle shares gained 15%. Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, has $191 billion, despite his fortune increasing by $17 billion. Steve Ballmer, former Microsoft CEO, has $155 billion, moving up from 11th to 9th place after gaining $10 billion.

Amancio Ortega, founder of the Zara fashion empire, has $148 billion, rising from 12th to 10th with a $5 billion increase.
